I don't know what's scarier: that I made Spock wear a hairpiece, or that I'm incredibly turned on by pirate!Kirk... Anyway, in my mind this is subtitled, 'Spock cannot say no to James Kirk'.

Am making a couple of icons and other changes to make it suitable for post-Halloween but thought I share this version as long as it's still pre-Halloween. ;)

And to create a place where the boys can have a carefree tumble in the warm grass. Gee! How time flies. The only thing is, you see, I had that incredibly satisfying image of me making that ~~mountain~~ climbing wall my bitch, ALL BY MYSELF, but um. They need you to pair up with someone and if you don't have a climbing partner they pair you up with some random person who's not too busy at the moment. So now I can't help but picture movie!Scotty as my partner, trying to climb that damn wall, and failing miserably, so that I have to push him by the arse so he has at least some resemblance to success at climbing. o_O Or, you know, Spiderman. Which would make me feel dreadfully inadequate.

I'm wondering if one (or all! They have special prizes for groups) of you sexy MF's would like to join me in my new adventure? Or, you know, come along to point and laugh which one doesn't even have to pay for. :D

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, helen_damnation! I know I'm way behind the program but I do hope you had a grand day! :D

While I was trying to think of a subject line ("I've got a ship in the oven"?, "The Adventures of the USS Cookiedough"? WTF?) some weird-ass part of my brain imagined the Enterprise being transformed into cookie dough/a huuuge cookie and everybody's running around on wobbly, runny legs or legs that constantly break which Bones has to mend with sugar icing; the phasers also shoot icing ~~(which is weird 'cause what do they shoot when they're,you know, in private?)~~. HUH.

SORRY, chani_atreides and lischa, OUR BAKING DATE IS STILL SO ON!

PREPARATIONS! I was humming cheerfully because I DID WELL. ~~Okay, I also enjoyed a nice drink.~~

Look, it's a FLARE! Fine, so it looks like boobies. But flares *are* sexy so the universe is still in order.

Been using some of these for a while but never posted 'em. Sadly, what with work WHICH IS IMPORTANT AND SRS BSNS and RL playing up I hardly ever get around to doing the things I feel are important in that weird little place I call My World. Sadface. Anyway, TOS and Reboot icons and a couple Torchwood:CoE icons as a little bonus.

Also, YAY icon table! Never figured how neat these little buggers are. Though, copy/pasting it from Dreamweaver into my eljay client makes the client go, huh? Must find more practical way.

Trek fandom is a family home and grandpa got cloned

nairie, frightened_eyes, shivaluna and I talked about how until now Trek fandom was like the house you lived in your whole life. There's dad you sit with at the kitchen table and talk about stuff and life and what you're supposed to do with it. And with your cool aunt you sit for hours at the window in the attic and talk about all the places you want to go to and and what you're willing to do to get there. Of course, there's also your older brother who's rather complicated and a little bit troubled but he always takes you to exciting places and you learn a lot just by being with him. You also like the distant cousin even though he never quite seems to fit in because he just keeps ignoring the rules (secretly, that's why you like him because he's doing it in a pretty cool way). And then there's grandpa who everyone looks up to because he built this house and he's still a shipload of fun for the stories he tells are liquid awesome and the beginning of everything!

Once in a while everyone gets to be bitchy and stupid but generally everybody's having a grand time.

But! Grandpa was recently cloned in a strange but totally scientific way and now all the new kids come to your house and want to spend time with him and say 'grandpa' is a stupid name and clone!grandpa is way cooler than original!grandpa anyway. (Admittedly, unlike original!grandpa he goes bowling instead of playing cards and is fashionable and stuff...) And the new kids lock themselves in the bathroom all the time where they make weird noises, they use totally new ingredients when cooking and the house smells for hours. However, the house hasn't been that exciting in a long time.

Summarily, we should have two bathrooms.

And this is where the story unexpectedly ends without an ending. ;)

Star Trek: Boldly Squeeing In Space

Happy Birthday, thefabone!

So. Star Trek. I liked it. I liked it whole bunch. In fact, I got sucked right into it. Which might also be due to the fact that we sat only a half-assed popcorn shot away from the screen. But oh.

I won't go into details because I'm sure no one wants to hear me squeeing for half a dozen pages which my attempt at finding the right words would end in. The scene that had me sitting on the edge of my seat though, clutching the hair of the woman sitting in front of me, was future!Spock telling his younger self about some epiphany or revelation or some such involving Jim Kirk. He was so very pleased that the young Spock has all the years with his t'hy'la still before him, whereas he himself can only look back on his memories. AWWW AND ANYWAY. I was so exited about what he said that I can't remember what it was exactly that he had said! So in pursuit of future!Spock's exact words ~~which made present!Spock reconsider his options for a bondmate~~ I found startrek and trekanon which needs reviving for its sheer apparent value, but not the quote, meh.

In conclusion, I would never have guessed that the hetero-angst would come from Spock's corner (which is only logical, come to think of it, since everybody's got to be sexual nowadays (Doctor Who, anyone?) but, sadly, straight is still the assumed default setting). BUT. What present!Spock taketh future!Spock giveth back plentily. :)

Some time last year we were asked to create a poster of some sort. I decided to use a Torchwood image (from 2.03 To the Last Man) to make a flyer type of thing for Torchwood Three, the band with the somewhat different attitude toward music. ;)

Team-building exercise, Day 4: creating a band. (Their commercial success was rather limited since their lyrics were somewhat outlandish for their time and they never succeeded in conveying how much fun they actually had with making music. ~~But maybe that wasn't the point at all.~~)

The Converse Symmetry Series Pt I & II by Terrie H. Drummonds:
This is huuuge! The author has created an entire new universe (quite literally): A subspace anomaly causes the crew of the USS Defiant from an alternate universe, led by Captain O'Brien, Ambassador Bashir, and Dukat, to cross over into DS9's universe.

“The tailor offered a fleeting smile and called out, "I believe these are our guests from the other universe." [...]

There is such longing is this beautiful story, the alternative universe is described in so much loving detail, and the AU!Bashir-Garak-Bashir triangle is... well, I fail to find the right words; but it always touches me somewhere deep inside. ;)

I made a birthday present for a friend of mine. It's this picture which is now printed and framed and surely makes my friend's room the prettiest in the whole house.

This might look cool without the story but I'm gonna tell it anyway. I really ~~wanted to shag~~ liked that guy and he ~~wanted to shag~~ liked me right back and so he said I could totally name his (disguised) car TARDIS. Yay! And I did. A whole afternoon long. And then some. That I would get a ride IN THE TARDIS. And that I prefer riding IN THE TARDIS. And that, really, the best way to get from A to B is INSIDE THE TARDIS! Yay! And here's a picture of how we traveled (or a close approximation thereof). The TARDIS is in transition between car and phone box and therefore looks kinda wood-y. Or the Chameleon circuit is just broken again.

Oh, and yeah, I kissed a boy in a TARDIS! I'm so gonna still tell my grandchildren that.
